RUIZ, María Elena et al. Tumor mixto adenocarcinoma-carcinoide de colón: Presentación de 2 casos y revisión de la literatura. Gen [online]. 2008, vol.62, n.2, pp.137-139. ISSN 0016-3503.

The mixed tumors adenocarcinoma-carcinoid are a group of neoplasm that show histological features of adenocarcinomas and neuroendocrine cells neoplasms in which both components should contribute in at least 30 % of all tumors. There are not enough reports in the medical literature for predicting general behavior in this type of tumors. We reported two cases: a 74 year-old male and a 40 year-old female who have reported abdominal pain and bloating, we found liver metastases and colon lesions.

Keywords : adenocarcinoma; neuroendocrine carcinoma; mixed tumor; liver metastases.
