The gastrointestinal stromal tumors are rare neoplasms defined as mesenchymal tumors, arising from the wall of the gastrointestinal tract, and denoted as tumors arising from the stroma with no definite cell line origin and varying patterns of differentiation. About 10% are symptomatic. Commom presenting features include abdominal pain, gastrointestinal blood loss, abdominal mass and weight loss. We report a case of a 50 yr old woman with a gastric stromal tumour, the only symptom was abdominal pain. We described symptoms, diagnosis and endoscopic and surgical treatment.
