Abstract

BASTOS, Nilda. Clasificación de los pólipos de la mucosa del colon y recto: uso del sistema de imágenes de banda angosta. Gen [online]. 2011, vol.65, n.1, pp.22-29. ISSN 0016-3503.

The Narrow Band Image system (NBI) is a new technological development, with previus optic filter to the lamp of xenon, emits two wave length ranks that are blue of 415nm and green 540nm that are two ranks with peaks of colleting by the hemoglobin. Objetive: To evaluate the utility predictive, of the narrow band images system for the diagnosis of wounds polypoid (neoplasics or not neoplasics) in the mucous membrane of the colon and/or straight, during the colonoscopic study. Material and Methods: A comparative, descriptive, and prospective study is carried out, with the patients evaluated in the Gastroenterology Service of the Oncological Hospital “Padre machado” from march to November of the 2007. An intentional sampling is carried out not probabilistic. They were analyzed 39 colorectal polyps, they were observed with increase and system NBI, the morphology of the glasses was noted and the cryptic boss, then they were separating and analyzed histologically, reckoning the capacity of this system to classify the wounds polipoideas. Results: the data obtained of the cryptic boss with NBI increase and histology was of a 100% for the types I and II a 92% for the types IIIL, IV and VN. This system showed good results to identify the morphological detail that is correlated well with the histology of polyps and to differentiate wounds neoplasics and not neoplasics. Conclusion: the system NBI is an optical tool of large projections in our endoscopic, so much diagnostic as therapeutic studies, which provides images with additional characteristics to those of the conventional endoscopy and the cromoendoscopy.
