PEREZ, Mayesther et al. Familial benign pancreatic Hyperenzynemia: a case report. Gen [online]. 2016, vol.70, n.1, pp.023-027. ISSN 2477-975X.
Familial Benign Pancreatic Hyperenzynemia is characterized by an abnormal increase of serum pancreatic enzyme in the absence of pancreatic disease. It may be sporadic or familial, and persistently involves one or all pancreatic enzymes. A 15-year-old female presented recurrent acute pancreatitis, hyperlipasemia with normal amylase values, imaging and histological studies of normal pancreas. We study a family group, resulting hyperlipasemia father, asymptomatic. Familial Benign Pancreatic Hyperenzynemia. Because abdominal pain serological markers for celiac disease is made Ac. Deaminated peptide gliadin IgA positive and HLA DQ2 presence. Gluten free diet starts with declining levels of lipase. In almost all cases, the serum levels of pancreatic enzymes are abnormally high; sometimes there is only increased amylase or, more rarely, only the lipase. Recognition of this syndrome is very important because it is benign and diagnosis avoids the need for tests, hospitalizations and unnecessary treatments. The association with celiac disease is not described, may be a chance finding, however in this case the normalization of lipase was presented after a diet free of gluten.
