It is through this cognitive process, product of psychological, psychosocial, sociological and cultural factors independently of the genetic, physiological or biological basis of the disease; that individuals interpret the symptoms of their body and attribute specific meanings to them. The present work, tries to initiate in elementary form the theme of the representation of the disease, planning the analysis of the evolution of the study of the disease; trying thus to arrive at a comprehensive vision of each one of the variables that influence at the time of originating a response to the disease.
