Already more than a decade into the era of endoscopic deep small-bowel exploration, we finally have composite large-scale data to support what we have suspected: balloon-assisted enteroscopy performed in appropriately selected in patients is a highly useful and extremely safe clinical tool that can be used for a variety of indications for deep enteroscopy.
