SUMMARY: The syndrome of androgen insensitivity is the first cause of masculine pseudohermafroditism. It has an incidence of 1 in 20 000 to 1 in 64 000 male newborns, represents 15% to 20% of the intersexual stages and the third cause of primary amenorrhea. It inheritance is recessive and linked to the X chromosome. The diagnostic of a case must motivate the investigation of the sisters and other relatives since it might be a familiar entity. The case of three youth sisters with syndrome of androgens insensitivity, that assisted to the pediatric and adolescence gynecology outpatient clinic of the Children Hospital "JM de los Rios", is reported; the results are discussed and literature revised
