Objective: To determine the relationship between the phenotypic characteristic of the feet and ear lobe and the incidence of preeclampsia. Setting: Ciudad Hospitalaria "Dr. Enrique Tejera" Valencia. Edo. Carabobo. Method: A group of 263 nulliparous patients randomly chosen during their immediate puerperium were divided in two groups. 58 complicated with preeclampsia were compared to 205 without that complication. Data was analyzed using the X2 test. Results: In the preeclamptic group 41.37% had adherent ear lobes, 58.63% hanging lobes (p= 0.73> 0.01 X2= 0.11). We found 102 patients with Greek feet, 30.39% have had preeclampsia 60.61% did not have it. Of the 161 patients with Squared or Egyptian feet, 16.77% had preeclampsia, 83.22% did not have any complication (p= 0.0094< 0.01 X2 = 6.674). Conclusion: There is not relationship between the ear lobe characteristics and preeclampsia nulliparous women with Greek feb have a higher incidence of preeclampsia
