CASTEJON, Olivar e MOLINARO, María. Necrosis celular en placa basal placentaria y su relación con desórdenes hipertensivos en casos de desprendimiento prematuro de placenta. Rev Obstet Ginecol Venez [online]. 2003, vol.63, n.1, pp.11-17. ISSN 0048-7732.
SUMMARY Objective: To evaluate cell death in the placental decidua in relationship to hypertensive disorders of pregnancy associated to severe abruption placentae. Method: Ten placentas were taken. Seven patients with hypertensive disorders and three without hypertension features were collected with reference to macroscopic maternal lesions originated during severe abruption placentae and those of microscopical cell death in the basal plate. Setting: Laboratorio de Microscopia Electronica del CIADANA y Departamento de Ginecologia-Obstetricia del Hospital Central de Maracay-Venezuela. Area de posgrado. Results: There are not morphological differences which permit to distinguish in base to macro or microscopic observations the findings found in hypertensive patients of those seen in no hypertensive except an area of larger depression in the first. Conclusion: Macroscopic or microscopic lesions do not seem to be influenced or are independent of the maternal blood pressure status.
