Hepatic pyogen abscess in the neonatal period is very rare and in most cases fatal. We hereby present the clinical, radiological, ultrasound and tomographical studies of the first case diagnosed in the "Conception Palacios" Maternity. A newborn with hepatic abscess, localized in the right lobe, unique, as a consequence of venous catheterism. We describe management with wide spectrum antibiotic therapy, without surgical treatment. Clinical evolution was satisfactory.
