Epileptic patient, 22 years old, with generalized convulsion crisis since 12 years of age, was admitted in two opportunities at the "Maternidad Concepción Palacios" during her fifth pregnancy for 2 epileptic status episodes. The first one appeared at the 14th week and the second one at 20th week of gestation. At 36 weeks of pregnancy, a cesarean section was performed for premature detachment of placenta, obtaining a live newborn, weight 2700 g and 44 cm of length. The newborn required assistance at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for severe asphyxia, with satisfactory evolution. No fetal malformations were detected.
