Kerion celsi is an inflammatory and suppurating tinea located on the back of the neck, scalp, or beard, but also sometimes on glabrous skin. We present a case of a 25 years old girl, who was attended at Hospital Universitario Ruíz y Páez in Ciudad Bolívar Venezuela with painful lesions located on genital area (vulva) characterized by follicular pustules. The clinical isolates were collected in culture medium, obtained the dermatophyte fungi Trichophyton rubrum. Systemic Itraconazole and Prednisona treatment was given, and in short time the patient was better. We conclude that it is an atypical presentation of Kerion celsi disease.
