Objective: To study the efect of folic acid and zinc based treatment in the sub-fertile patients, with diagnose of asthenozospermia, oligozoospermia y/o teratozoospermia. Method: Prospective and descriptive study. It was administered a treatment with folic acid (5 mg) and zinc (50 mg) on a daily basis, for a period of 90 days, to patients diagnosed with sperm’s overall movement, concentration and/or morphology alterations. Setting: Fertilty service. Maternidad Concepcion Palacios. Caracas. Results: Alter 90 days of treatment, the overall movement increased from 44.37 % to 55.2 % (P= 0,002). The normal form sperm went from 54.1 % to 55.46 % (P= 0,001). The abnormal form sperms diminished from 44.29 % to 44.25 % (P= 0,001). Conclusion: The treatment with folic acid and zinc significantly improves the overall movement and morphology of sperm on the sub-fertile male patient.
