Resumen

Objective: To establish a partner-epidemic profile, through the Medical legal expertise form, of sexual violence cases. Methods: Documental Investigation: exploratory, descriptive, projective and traverse. Population and Sample: The totality of the victims were attended at during 2004. It was conformed by 487 victims. Setting: Forensic Department in Aragua State, 2004 Results: The female gender represented 82.17 % of the total of cases. The highest incidence belonged to teenagers (12-18 years) with 43.74 %; school (7-11 years) with 22.80, and pre-school (3-6 years) with 17.25 %, representing a total of 83.79 %. 43.18 % of crimes happen in the victim’s home; 15.90 % at relatives’ home or well-known people (friends), and another 15.90 % in places like old people’s home and children nurseries. 23.95 % of the aggressors were neighbours, 15.63 % stepfathers, 9.9 % uncles, 8.85 % boyfriends, 6.8 % parents, relatives and very close people to the victim. The 80 % of the medical-forensic personnel 80 % does not report the victims’ physical evaluation, and focuses its attention in cases of sexual violence in the genital organs. Just 2.46 % of the victims was requested a psychiatric evaluation by the physician/coroner (forensic surgeon). Conclusions: the most affected victims were females who culturally occupy a vulnerable position in a patriarchal society, the largest group of victims belonged to teenagers; even, victims under one year of age, placing the Aragua State in a dangerous situation, being the children’s population the most vulnerable and affected one and who sexual violence can leave psychiatric, physical, emotional and social devastating scars.
