Objective: To evaluate the utility of subcutaneous implants of autologous cryopreserved ovarian tissue and hormonal therapy in rats with surgically induced menopause. Methods: We performed a randomized controlled trial. We studied 14 Sprague Dawnley, divided into two groups. Oophorectomy was performed in the control group and oophorectomy more cryopreservation of ovarian tissue in the study group. Postooforectomy month subcutaneous implant was performed cryopreserved autologous tissue to study group. Estradiol concentrations were determined at baseline, and postimplant postooforectomy in both groups. Daily vaginal cytology was performed. Setting: Catedra de Reproduccion Humana de la Universidad Simon Bolivar y Maternidad "Concepcion Palacios". Results: We managed to restore the concentrations of estradiol to the existing pre-oophorectomy and resume the cytological changes characteristic of the estrous cycle. Conclusion: The use of subcutaneous implants restored autologous cryopreserved ovarian hormonal environment in rats with surgically induced menopause.
