Adolescent pregnancy remains a global public health issue with severe consequences for maternal health. Well-trained healthcare personnel play a crucial role in reducing adolescent pregnancies and preventing “near miss” events in pregnant adolescents. The objective of this bibliographic review was to analyze the importance of healthcare personnel training in the care of pregnant adolescents for the prevention of “near miss.” Articles were collected and analyzed from databases including PubMed, Scielo, Scopus, and Web of Science, covering the last five years, applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, and using keyword searches. The reviewed literature demonstrates that continuous and comprehensive training significantly contributes to improving adolescent maternal health and reducing the incidence of “near miss” events.
