Epignatus is a rare form of teratoma that can be located anywhere in the oral or pharynx. It is characterized by having tissues that come from the three germ layers. The incidence is 1/35000 to 1/200000. It represents a great therapeutic, challenge due to airway obstruction from birth, causing mortality that amounts to up 80 - 100 % of cases, regardless of gestational age. Therefore, prenatal diagnosis is important to establish therapeutic plan. The ex - utero intrapartum treatment procedure, or EXIT, is the gold standard method that allows securing the airway for these patients. Its management begins with prenatal diagnosis. This diagnosis will allow the devising of a multidisciplinary therapeutic plan that encompasses different medical specialties.
