Abstract

The seasonally flooded forest of the Sipapo River is located in the northern Amazonas State, in the fitogeographic region Guayana Venezolana. Afloristic inventory was carried out in the Sipapo River. Revision of previous collections from the herbaria MER, MY, PORT, VEN and of databases from herbaria MO and NYwere done, in order to elaborate the floristic catalogue of this forest. The flora is constituted for 92 spermatophytes families, 328 genera and 614 species, of these, 36 species are endemic to the Venezuelan Guayana. For every species in the catalog, common names, habitat, habit, herbarium references and geographical distribution in Venezuela and its surroundings are given.
