Abstract
NOGUERA-SAVELLI, Eliana; RUIZ, Thirza and JAUREGUI, Damelis. Morfología del polen de las especies de Loasaceae Juss. presentes en Venezuela. Ernstia [online]. 2009, vol.19, n.1, pp.67-79. ISSN 0252-8274.
The pollen morphology of nine species of Loasaceae that grow in Venezuela was studied with the objective to determine the characters of value diagnosis. The traditional procedure of acetolysis was made in order to obtain the grain sizes and forms, showing prolate-spheroidal, subprolate and prolate grains. The ornamentation obtaining exina was observed in the scanning electron microscopy obtaining three types: microechinate, striato-reticulate and bireticulate. Most of the species present tricolporate grains, being able to also find grains tricolpate.
