Resumen

INDRIAGO, José et al. Evaluation of the natural illumination and sunlighting of bioclimatic houses for hot humid climates. Rev. Téc. Ing. Univ. Zulia [online]. 2002, vol.25, n.2, pp.68-81. ISSN 0254-0770.

In intertropical latitudes such as Venezuela with warm humid climates, the analysis of the natural illumination and the sunlighting, allow establishing parameters for the adequate design of the openings in a construction (form, size, protection), since by them penetrates the greatest quantity of heat by the influence of the direct and diffuse solar radiation. This article is referred to the study of both variables in a bioclimatic house design for the population of Tamare, a locality of the Zulia State, Venezuela. In the same are exposed two aspects: 1) The quantitative analysis of the natural illumination through an experimental study that includes measurements of the exterior horizontal illuminance and interior illuminance in a physical model of the bioclimatic house; 2) The study of the sunlighting through a three-dimensional digital model. This work has allowed determining if the light levels are sufficient for the accomplishment of the indoor, or if these are higher or lower. In this case it will permit to choose an adequate design strategy for obtaining the light comfort, going from the use of artificial light used in a conscious way to save energy, to the design of elements that allow the control of the solar radiation and at the same time permit to have the necessary light conditions to accomplish the activities.
