Abstract

SUAREZ A, Hermógenes D et al. GPS in the georectification of high spatial resolution satellite imagesGPS en la georrectificación de imágenes satelitales de alta resolución espacial. Rev. Téc. Ing. Univ. Zulia [online]. 2005, vol.28, n.3, pp.233-239. ISSN 0254-0770.

The digital image’s raw format contains geometric distortions originated at their adquisition. They required a georectification process, which needs some ground control point cleary recognized in both, the satellite image and the corresponding terrain position too. This allows transforming the image to map information data with the geometric integrity. The potential of several GPS procedures applicated in the georectification of high spatial resolution images (IKONOS) is show. The fast-static using one and two frequencies recivers, kinematic and RTK procedures are evaluated.

Keywords : Georectification; IKONOS; GPS; ground control points.
