Abstract
MARTINEZ, Ede C; PEREZ L, Lesvia and LLIMPE Q, Celso E. Sound insulation parameters of a roof prototype built with ecological materials. Rev. Téc. Ing. Univ. Zulia [online]. 2014, vol.37, n.1, pp.66-75. ISSN 0254-0770.
Our main objective was to design a sound insulation system using some ecological materials from the region. Was conditioned sound test module and perform the calculation of the acoustic parameters of the insulation system, for which it was built a module of sound test. The tests were developed by adapting acoustic measurement methodology recommended by the international standard ISO 140-5. The experimentation setup consisted of pink noise generator, an amplifier and a speakers system. For the calculation of the acoustic parameters called apparent level difference and apparent sound reduction index that characterized the isolation of the materials used, were measured sound pressure levels for 1/3 octave in the external and internal environment of the test module, furthermore the reverberation time. It was determined that the substrate with thicknesses of 10 cm and 20 cm, they isolated 42 dB and 44 dB respectively. The vegetation did not provide sound insulation improvements.
