Abstract
AYARDE HENRIQUEZ, Leandro; ARENCIBIA AVILA, Karel and GONZALEZ SEGURA, Franklyn. Prediction of the Coefficient of Performance of the Hermetic Compressor. Rev. Téc. Ing. Univ. Zulia [online]. 2017, vol.40, n.2, pp.064-068. ISSN 0254-0770.
At present days the generation of the energy has become a polemic topic. The IEA established the consumption of domestic refrigerators in 5 % to 29 % of the global consumption of residential sector which depends on the geographic zone. In order to reduce the consumption of refrigerators these appliances must be improved and optimized which demands a very special attention to the hermetic compressor. Unfortunately the calorimeter tests to evaluate the hermetic compressor result too costly, in terms of money and time, that is the reason why the simulation of these tests based on a mathematical model had become a widespread technique among the world leaders of the compressorsʹ production. Although it is important to notice that those mathematical models work on the established conditions for the international standards, and as a matter of fact these international standards do not consider the high temperatures that exist in tropical climate countries. This is why in this paper it is revealed a brandnew mathematical model, this model does include the particular characteristics of tropical climate countries, and it will allow to calculate the cooling capacity of the hermetic compressor, and then it could be evaluated.
Keywords : hermetic compressor; energy consumption; tropical climate; mathematical model.
