Abstract

RAMOS, Edwin et al. Formation Study of the Copper(II) Complexes with Picolinic and Dipicolinic Acids in 1.0 mol.dm-3 KNO3 at 25 °C. Rev. Téc. Ing. Univ. Zulia [online]. 2017, vol.40, n.3, pp.179-184. ISSN 0254-0770.

This research was conducted in order to study the formation of binary complexes of Cu(II) with picolinic(Hpic) and dipicolinic(H2dipic) acids in aqueous solution in the ionic medium 1.0 M KNO3 at 25 °C. The systems were studied by electromotive force (emf (H)) measurements. The experimental results were analyzed by the least squares program LETAGROP, where the binary complexes [Cupic]+ and two hydroxospecies Cu(OH)pic and [Cu(OH)2pic]- and Cupic2 and [Cupic3]- were found with the picolinic acid and with the dipicolinic acid the complex [CuHdipic]+, Cudipic, [Cudipic2]2- and two hydroxoespecies [Cu(OH) dipic]- and [Cu(OH)2dipic]2- were observed.

Keywords : Copper(II); solution equilibria; potentiometric studies; stability constants.
