This essay approaches the impact that the postpositivist currents would have in democratic education. The essay analyzes the concepts of postpositivism and of a radical education for the democracy. For every concept I offer a set of theses that orientate the discussion and open ways to new elaborations and debates. Then, I expose how the postpositivist reflection reinforces the democracy as long as it recognizes and legitimizes a diversity of perspectives on the world. The essay ends with some proposals for thinking reforms in teacher education institutions.
