Resumen

ALBA DORADO, María Isabel. Walking Around Spirals with Robert Smithson. Argos [online]. 2015, vol.32, n.63, pp.35-52. ISSN 0254-1637.

The relationship between art, industry and landscape has had a much more important development than is commonly known and recognized. Many pioneers of land art revealed through their work a way to understand and interpret these industrial spaces and suggested new and more freely ways of dialogue and action in them. Robert Smithson never remained indifferent to these industrial spaces. His works teach us to appreciate these post-industrial landscapes at which we don’t often look, fixing our attention on them, giving them new meaning. This article aims to reveal the dialogues that Robert Smithson established throughout his career with these industrial landscapes.

Palabras clave : Robert Smithson; art; landscape; industry; Spiral Jetty.
