Abstract

PRIETO-GARCIA, Francisco; SERRANO-LOPEZ, Sixto S; GALAN VIDAL, Carlos A.  and  BELTRAN HERNANDEZ, Rosa I.. Fabricación y evaluación de electrodos para la determinación de iones Arseniatos en medios acuosos a partir de silica gel dopada con óxidos de hierro. Rev. LatinAm. Met. Mat. [online]. 2006, vol.26, n.1-2, pp.85-94. ISSN 0255-6952.

The objective of this work is to evaluate silica gel, doped with iron oxides, in the manufacturing of potenciometric electrodes for arsenate ions in aqueous means. The incorporation of a metallic pair in the synthesis of the doped silica gel was also evaluated and the efficiency to the response of this type of electrode was also determined. The addition of the metallic pair was made while the silica, doped with iron, was synthesized, copper and nickel was utilized. The electrodes, prepared from solids of silica gel doped with iron oxides and other metals such as metallic pair, were evaluated by cyclic voltamperometry and cronopotenciometry techniques. The evaluated electrodes offered potenciometric responses before variations of HAsO42- concentrations. The best response presented was of the prepared electrode from the solid doped with iron as it showed a better dynamic response in time and effect of memory. Also it showed a regression of acceptable linearity.
