Abstract
CHLUDZINSKI, Mariane; MATTEI, Fabiano and STROHAECKER, Telmo R. INFLUENCE OF THE AXIAL FORCE APPLIED IN STEELS FRICTION HYDRO-PILLAR WELDED JOINTS. Rev. LatinAm. Metal. Mater. [online]. 2011, vol.31, n.2, pp.122-127. ISSN 0255-6952.
The welding processes of metal joints are essential for our technological reality. Some of these methods have defects inherent in the process, encouraging the search for new techniques. Among them is the Friction Hydro-Pillar Processing (FHPP). Aiming the analysis of variations in the FHPP welds in low alloy steels, through changes in axial load applied in the rod. For the evaluation of the process, bending tests were performed, as well profiles of microhardness and visual analysis with chemical attack. The results expected are variability in the bonding between material of rod and metal base resulting in changes in the heat affected zone and in the mechanical properties of the welded region
