Abstract

RAMOS, Maridelin et al. METHOD FOR THE EXPRESS AND QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF METAL CATALYSTS AND CONTAMINANTS WITHIN CARBON-BASED NANOMATERIALS. Rev. LatinAm. Metal. Mater. [online]. 2011, vol.31, n.2, pp.182-186. ISSN 0255-6952.

Many binary carbon-metal nanoparticles can be found in laboratories and industries. In some cases, they are synthesized products while in other cases they are contaminant by-products. In any of both, the metal content is an important factor, and, for some applications, the metal content is crucial. In the present paper, the potential and limitations of a fast electron backscattering technique, for the express, representative and economic chemical analysis of metal content in carbon - metal nanoparticles materials are explored

Keywords : Carbon nanoparticle; metallic contaminant; backscattering; fast electrons.
