Abstract
LINARES, Carlos F. et al. EFFECT OF CALCINATION TEMPERATURE ON NiMo/Zn-HYDROXYAPATITES CATALYSTS IN THE HYDRODESULFURATION REACTION OF THIOPHENE. Rev. LatinAm. Metal. Mater. [online]. 2014, vol.34, n.1, pp.66-75. ISSN 0255-6952.
Zn-hydroxyapatites supports were synthesized with a variable Zn content (0-15% mol Zn). Samples were dried at 80°C for 24 h before being impregnated with a Mo salt (as 15% MoO3) and a Ni salt (3 Mo: Ni atomic ratio). After impregnation, solids were divided in two portions: one portion was calcined at 400°C and, the other one at 800 °C respectively for 4 h. These samples were characterized by different techniques such as: X-ray diffraction (XRD), FT-IR spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), temperature programmed reduction (TPR) and BET surface area measurements. Results showed that calcination temperature, and the Zn content into the hydroxyapatite structure, play an important role on textural properties of these potential catalysts for hydrodesulfurization reaction of thiophene.
