In this work is reported the process of obtaining ceramic powders of strontium hexaferrite, SrFe₁₂O₁₉ by the methods of synthesis, Pechini and combustion, varying parameters such as iron precursors, pH of solution and heat treatment. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy techniques were applied to evaluate the microstructure, composition and crystallite size of the SrFe₁₂O₁₉ samples, determining hexagonal structure size in the range of 200 to 300nm.
