PERDOMO DE PONCE, Doris. Hipersensibilidad vs tolerancia. Gac Méd Caracas [online]. 2004, vol.112, n.4, pp.285-310. ISSN 0367-4762.
Allergic rhinitis, asthma, and atopic dermatitis has been wide investigated, however the immune responses in nonallergic individuals remain largely unstudied. The world research point related to allergic etiology has provided by the general paradigm of Th1/Th2, from principally CD4+ T functions. 521 patients from Caracas valley has been studied to discriminate allergic responders from nonresponders. An immunoclinical in vivo and in vitro study was done on each individual. Univariate and multivariate tests were performed. The results allow to prepare a multivariable model program for each clinical situation, and adecuate a new tropical disease classification of allergic and non allergic atopic diseases. The statistical analysis allows to discriminate between the population which develop clinical sensitivity, or immunological unresponsiveness. Models promises at the first time to be applied for venezuelan clinical immunologist, where a high volume of allergic patientes cover their capacity, giving a hope for a specific treatment on each group.
