We have applied the Luria-UCV neuropsychological battery to 269 subjects which includes 241 normals voluntary persons and 28 patients with comprobed brain damage. As it was expected the arithmetical mean of the pathological group was higher in the differents sub-tests of the battery. No significant differences in relation with sex was found. The correlation between age and the Battery sub-tests were negative and statistically significant. In relation to scholarity the correlation was positive and significant. The reliability of the battery was evaluated with the following procedures: coefficient a of Cronbach, split-half reliability and examiner of scorer reliability. We find that the battery has a satisfactory internal consistency and reliability between the observers. The temporal stability was under the expected level. We test the validity of the battery with the following construct validity procedures: internal consistency and contrasted groups. The results we presented in this study stablish the psychometric security of this battery for the neuropsychological evaluation of Venezuelan subjets.
