Abstract

PATINO-BARRAGAN, M et al. Most affected area in the port of manzanillo colima Mexico by severe hydrometeorologyc events and their periodicity. IMME [online]. 2009, vol.47, n.1, pp.47-60. ISSN 0376-723X.

In the year of 1999 different areas was flooded in Manzanillo Colima Mexico, in consequence of the Hurricane "Greg". The more affected was the biggest urban colonia of port (Valle de las Garzas). The water level inside the rooms arrived at a height of 1 m, the system of drainage and the plant of residual water processing in the zone were flooded, affecting all the area with black waters.  The urban colony remained cut off from the remainder of the port and to the alone people was possible to remove them with launches. The event caused loses economics substantial.
