Artisanal fishery at two villages in Juréia-Itatins Ecological Station, São Paulo State, Brazil, was studied between September 2000 and August 2001, in order to analyze fish composition and yield, and their relation to environmental variables (rain, tides and moon). Productivily analysis was made through capture per unit of effort (CPUE). In Barra do Una, 20 disembarkations caught 282.6kg of 12 fish species, using 19340m² of nets, in 177.5 hours, obtaining a yield of 0.001kg/m²/hour (CPUE1) or 1.0526kg/fisherman/hour (CPUE2). In Guaraú, 607.9kg of 24 fish species were collected in 32 disembarkations, utilizing 27320m² of nets in 246.5 hours of fishing effort, with yields was 0.0015kg/m²/hour (CPUE1) or 1.0191kg/fisherman/hour (CPUE2). In spite of closeness of yield values, the disembarkations composition at these two villages was distinct, with only 33% similarity (Jaccard Index). A fish collection of 54 species belonging to 28 families was made.
