The reflections about the environmental education, from the ethical point of view, have been centered on the responsible behavior of the human being towards the environment and towards the rest of the beings that live on it. The argument of the conservationist speech, marked by an anthropocentric bias, is often based on the sense of duty about the need of utilization of the natural goods by future generations. The present work discusses the conceptual difference between ethics and moral, the predominance of the imperative of duty on the educational process and the way how that difference can delineate diverse paths in environmental education.
