A method based in neural networks is proposed to estimate the location of mobile phones in emergency situations. The approach to the problem is probed under different communication channels such as multiple paths and lost paths, as well as under critical geometry mobile positions with respect to the base station of the network cell company. The performance is determined by comparison with standards methods and its possible application in Venezuela is analyzed.
