MADRIZ ISTURIZ, P. M y LUCIANI MARCANO, J. F. Agronomic characterization of 20 cultivars of mungbean, Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek during three seasons, in Maracay, Aragua state, Venezuela. Rev. Fac. Agron. [online]. 2004, vol.21, n.1, pp.19-35. ISSN 0378-7818.
20 mungbean cultivars were proven Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) at three times of sowing: rainy season (May to August of 1994), rainy season ending (October 1994 to January 1995) and dry season (February to April, 1995) in the Experimental Field of the Agronomy Institute, Agronomy Faculty, Central university of Venezuela, Maracay, Aragua state; with the purpose of evaluating its behaviour in the defferent envioronmentel conditions. The experimental design was blocks at random, with four repetitions. The measured variables were: height of plant, number of cluster/plant, number of pods/plant, longitude of case, number of seeds/pods, grain yield by plant and yield in kg/ha. Analyses of variance, and evidence of averages of Duncan were made. Each test was analyzed individually, to the significant being the evidence of homogeneity of the errors of the variances of Bartlett. There were highly significant differences between you will cultivate for the variables. The yield average per time was 1342.58 kg/ha, of rains; 953.5 kg/ha, exit of rains and 536.25 kg/ha, dry. You will cultivate them of better behaviour were: VC 1973C, Creole VC 1973A, VC 2768A, VC 1178B and MILILITER 267, recommending itself according to the season. The Agroecological characteristies during rain season fovoured the expression of the potential of yield of the cultivar being different the other seasons.
