BERMUDEZ, Leudys et al. Dobesilato de Calcio (Doxium®) en el Tratamiento de las Crisis Hemorroidales. AVFT [online]. 2000, vol.19, n.1, pp.49-52. ISSN 0798-0264.

The clinical activity and safety of Calcium Dobesilate (Doxium®) 500 mg/three times/day, was evaluated in 39 patients with acute haemorrhoids. The evaluation was made by a physical exam, on the following schedule: • After 48 hours of treatment. • After 8 days of treatment. • After 8 weeks of treatment. The patients reported an improvement in the scores: pain, secretion, inflammation, anal pressure, pruritus, hemorrhagic and total score. The product was good tolerated. The treatment was suspended on one of the patients because of an allergic reaction, and two of them had soft epigastralgia. Both were taking oral analgesics.
