In this work, it is demonstrated that the V-ATPase activity presents in a plasma membrane fraction from tracheal smooth muscle is specifically inhibited by tributyl tin chloride (TBT). This compound belongs to a great family of toxic pollutants with broad use in modern industry and they can affect humans tissues and cells and produce diseases.
