In an uncontrolled multicenter open label trial. Analized with intent treeat were evaluated, 60 patients with low back pain, these patients received nimesulide 100 mg twice daily for a maximum of 15 days the efficacy and safety of nimesulide were assessed for all patients on an intent to treat bases. Results: After 5 day of treatment the patients had a significant reduction in pain, and additional relief between five and ten days, without additional relief on fifteen day. The middle time for the complete relief of pain was 8,5 days on the 15 day the locomotion function was significantly improvement, there were reported side effects in four patients, only in one of these, was necessary the suspension of treatment.
