It was evaluated, throught a multicentric prospective and open study the effect of nifedipine microgranules in the treatment of patients with light and moderate hypertension. It were evaluated 67 patients, the nifedipine microgranules administration produced a lowing of 17% on the systolic blood pressure and 23% on the diastolic blood, pressure the pulse rate descended with statistic significance. The adverses effects were low and ligh, and they were headache, flush, edema, dizziness and had not to need to stop the treatment.
