The carried out study was to evaluate the control of upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage through the esophageal varices eradication, 55 of 58 included patients finishes the study, to which were carried out endoscopic digestive superior with presence of esophageal varices without bleeding and with stigma of bleed recent, being contained by the classification of Bhargava and according to the class of Child Pugh, degree of the varices, numbers of cords besides seeing the present complications. The biggest quantity of patient according to the Chilh Pugh, degree of the varices and numbers of cords, they grouped between 1 and 3 endoscopy. Neither the class of Child Pugh, neither the degree of the varices increase the quantity of endoscopy or bands for patient (P <0,05), as for the groups with 3 and 4 cords if there was significance statistics (P>0,05) in the endoscopy increase, but not of bands. The complications were pain (49%), hemorrhages (10,9%) and fever (7,2%).
