Resumen

MENDOZA, Lilian  y  MARADEY, Carla. Relación entre índice isquémico y tasa de filtración glomerular estimada a través de la creatinina sérica en pacientes diabéticos tipo 2, de sanare, durante diciembre 2005-febrero 2006. AVFT [online]. 2006, vol.25, n.2, pp.96-100. ISSN 0798-0264.

Relationship between ischaemic index and glomerular filtration rate estimated by seric creatinine in diabetic type 2 patients from Sanare, during December 2005-February 2006. The ischaemic index (II) was used to asses the presence of vascular peripheral disease (VPD) and seric creatinine was used to asses the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) as a parameter of renal functionalism, in order to describe the relationship between both variables. A transversal, analytic study was performed, including 74 patients with type 2 diabetes. The II was calculated dividing the pedis systolic blood pressure between the brachial blood pressure, both using the auscultatory method. GFR was calculated according to the formula recommended by the NKF. Data was analyzed with STATA 8.0- 98.6% of patients showed a diminished GFR. II was found below normal values in 14.29% (10/70) cases. All patients with an II < 0.91 showed diminished GFR. The r for GFR and II was 0.07 for a p=0.05. No lineal correlation was found between the variables in study.

Palabras clave : type 2 diabetes; ischaemic index; vascular peripheral disease; glomerular filtration rate; chronic renal disease.
