MIGUEL, Vanessa; LOPEZ, María Gertrudis y MONTANO, Nora. Desarrollo de una ontología para la conceptualización de un ambiente virtual de aprendizaje constructivista. AVFT [online]. 2008, vol.27, n.2, pp.125-128. ISSN 0798-0264.
This paper describes the advances in the development and implementation of the ontology to represent the domain concept of a Generator System of Constructivist Teaching-Learning Environment Based on Learning Objects under development named AMBAR. The ontology was developed using the open source software Protégé, with the OWL plugin. The domain and scope of the ontology was determined, and after reviewing the ontology work available, the classs names and the class hierarchy were defined. The main classes were: Services, Metadata, Rol, Method, Learning Objects, Activities, Competencies, Framework and Person. These classes were described and their relationship established. The ontology development allowed to share and to find consensus view inside AMBAR´s multidisciplinary team, and will let AMBAR to have intelligent search mechanisms based in the semantic web vision.
