From 1984 to 1996 we have seen 263 children 3 months to 18 years old with neuropathic bladder, most of them (91.81%) congenital. 213 (80.98%) were incontinent with urinary tract infection in 123 (57.75%). 169 showed detrussor hyperreflexia and 107 (50.32%) hypotonic sphincter. Both conditions were present in 50 children (23.47%). 18 patients (8.92%) received no medical treatment for being to young or refered to surgery as initial treatment 195 (91.08%) were treated, 54 (27.45%) with drugs, 47 (23.76%) with self intermitent catheterization and 96 (48.77%) with both methods. Only 164 (62,26%) have been in follow-up for more tha 1 year and almost 50% follows treatment and controls regularly. 105 (64.23%) are improved notoriously, 38 (23.36%) have moderate improvement and 21 (12,40%) showed no improvement.
