Since the Anti-Phosfolipids Syndrome (APS) is one of the common causes of hypercoagulability associated to cerebral vascular diseaser, we here report one case of 44 year old female with hyperthyroidism who presented in 2 opportunities with a acute neurological illness. A brain scan shuwerd evidences of a ischemic cerebral vascular lesion. A Carotid duplex eco demonstrated a occlusive trombosis of the right internal carotid artery and inmunological testing showed high serum levels of anticardiolipin antibodies. During the initial episode the carotid vascular system was normal subcepting that the factor that modify the coagulability in the APS are independent of other risk factors for vascular diseaser.
