As an approximation to the definition of the contents that could be considered basic, we analyzed the questions used in the partial exams of the Biochemistry course during the last ten years. Our results show: a) Teachers, every year select almost the same questions for each partial exam, b) Selected contents are evaluated always in the same way, c) Some contents are rarely selected. These results could be a starting point for a process that allow the rationalization and the use of the truly important contents of the subject.
