ABSTRACT The actual context have a formation tendency related not only to a laboral position but to caracteristics required to get a job (competences). Programs of formation should be to promote the developmet of competences of analysis, reflection, innovation capability, problems resolutions, treat emergencies, into others. This paper state and integrate concept: clinic competence, wich it armonize a group of own atributes of health professionals, respecting. Caracteristics and own action fields for each profession. It was made a bibliografic revision of competence construct: origins, levels, social, economics and educatives changes wich make its context, curricular implications and process involved in its establishment. This allow, using Cariola (1998) metodology, establish the concept and levels of clinic competence, aplied to pre and postgrade studies.
