Irritable bowel syndrome it is a functional abnormality of the intestinal motility that constitutes a problem that compromise the quality of life when presenting a very varied physical symptom that has only been managed from the medical point of view. The present investigation approached the linking of the psychological variables with the irritable bowel syndrome. Deepening in an intervention of the persons behavioral problem that possesses that diagnosis, to characterize the Irritable bowel syndrome and to establish relationships between the dimensions of the behavior and the appearance of the physical symptom. For the intervention, a Guide of Interview was built that it described the experienced symptom, the nutritious, eliminatory, labor, social, sexual habits and its emotional handling. After the validation, the guide was administered to 17 patients diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. The results indicate that the feeding habits, elimination, sexual and of emotional handling they are affected by the irritable bowel syndrome contrary to what happens to the labor and social habits. In consequence, a substantial reduction of the patients patterns that they are object of the boarding for the Clinical Psychologist.
